Hey all, I'm about to setup a upload system on my website for Animephilia content so you guys can upload and download content without any rapishare style wait times.

My Question is: How big are the files you're going to be uploading?
50MB tops? 200MB? How much will you guys need?

I have some full anime episodes I'd like to share, and they average around 100MB. If size is an issue, don't take too much on yourself and see if the site server can hold anything.

Well, 300MB sounds resonable but I will be keeping an eye on the server and deleting things after a while. Mainly stuff with No downloads, but i've got 250GB so I may aswell fill it up :)

Because when I ordered my hosting package I was only intending to use it as a Blog. Because of that I don't have much bandwidth per month :(

Now that I'm moving over to OS X completely I'll be converting my PC into a File Server with 4TB of Storage and a Torrent Tracker. This will be specifically for AnimePhilia users with 300+ posts. Help the forum with World Domination and get free Hentai for the rest of time :) (no exotic gold uploads)

Anyway, Sorry I cant provide you all with a Torrent Service now but, good things come to those that wait. If anyone has any suggestions or comments please post them here :)

It looks pretty good. Color scheming is excellent. Definitely follows the KISS rule to designing websites. Maybe something a little more fun is in order for the buttons that take you to other parts of the sites, but otherwise very nice.

What did you have in mind for the buttons? Round corners with a yellow scheme is what I was thinking.. but not sure yet. Kinda Hard to condense it all to such a small area

Yeah, I think that yellow/goldenrod color in your flowers would be good, and rounded corners to fit in with the rest of the site. As long as you've only got those four links, I'd think you could space it out pretty nicely.

Why you have chosen this style?

I used to have a very Gothic Theme. Blacks, Reds. And when I was building the site I was watching an Episode of Hello Kitty. So it just kinda happened like that.
It'll be changed within a year! But i'm doing a college course so I need to have more free time.

Now it is clear. When I have seen the thread's name, I've thought that the site will be made in Apple style.

Hello Everyone at AnimePhilia, as you may have noticed, I've lost my Moderation Status.
I was commenting on a SheAniMale siterip another site and said "I was going to do that". Please note that as most of you have seen in the SheAniMale Picture of the Day thread that I dont like content being freely shared. I only said I was going to do this so I could keep the other sites community on it's toes as I do share alot of other content and have a small fan community. I never share ExoticGold content.
Anyway as per my Firefox Statistics I've spent over 500 hours on this site, as most of you can probably tell from my shear number of posts. I've also spent alot of time cleaning up the forums and sending forum requests to the administration staff.

As a direct result of losing my moderation privileges I see no reason to continue visiting this site. After all, The only reason I visited it every 20 minutes was because I enjoy keeping everyone in line and helping the community.
So until my moderation privileges are returned I'm going on strike and will not post on this site or pay for memberships for other exotic gold sites.

If you think I should get my Moderation Status back, please vote yes on the poll above, and if you do agree I was out of line with posting on a File Sharing site, please vote no.

I can see the delicate position the parent site has been put into. If no content was shared and only suggested that you would share it, I can't see it being fair that you lose your status. At the same time, the company needs to protect its Intellectual Property. Considering the circumstances, I think a temporary suspension of authority is more appropriate than permanent removal. Honestly without Vegetunks there would be very little content posted here. I can think of a small handful of posters on this site that I know by name, and Vegetunks is the first to come to mind (followed by Lola and Dhenshaw). Without the core people, this forum would go unused. There is a "save AnimePhilia" thread elsewhere on this site, and removing the moderator status of Vegetunks is a sure way NOT to save the site, partially because Vege is leaving without it and partially because he keeps the site working well and cleaned up.

For those that dont know what Asphyxia means, Asphyxia is what happens to your body just before you die of lack of breath. Websites like Rapidshare are great, we can share our files for free and download them for free, but only one at a time. If we want to download more than one at a time we have to pay these download sites for a premium membership, well that my friends, is about to change.

I've been coding up and designing a new AnimePhilia site for file transfer use. The basic idea is, you find a movie that you like, you upload the file to the new AnimePhilia Download site and everybody on AnimePhilia can download it without issues or wait times.

The Server has 500GB of Disk Space and 2TB of Monthly Bandwidth, I will delete files that have not been downloaded after three months unless e-mailed by the uploader asking for an extension.

The site will be completely free however it'll cost me quite a lot of money to run every month, not to mention the amount of time it'll require to manage if it kicks off, as a result, I'll include a PayPal donate button on the site, anybody nice enough to donate will be rewarded somehow... <-- still thinking on that.

Obviously there will be some rules, for example, 250 posts minimum to upload files to the site and 50 posts to download from the site.

Well, what do you guys think? Good Idea? I want to have the site semi-working over the next few days but still need to clean up some of the PHP and make some nice graphics. I've got a fair amount to learn about .HTACCESS files as well.

Any ideas or recommendations would be a great help so please post them below.
